Who we are
We are a small, independent game development studio proudly based on the U.S. East Coast. Born from a shared love of storytelling, worldbuilding, and classic role-playing games, our studio is made up of a few dedicated creators who are passionate about bringing original ideas to life through immersive gameplay.
Our current project, RumRunner, is a labor of love—a fully original RPG set during the thrilling and dangerous Age of Sail with a twist. Inspired by tales of high seas adventure, smuggling, and exploration, we’re building a world rich with atmosphere, danger, and character-driven stories. Every line of code, every asset, and every mechanic is handcrafted, driven not by deadlines, but by creativity and care.
We may be small, but our goals are big. We believe that games don’t need massive budgets to have heart, soul, and memorable experiences. What is RumRunner?
RumRunner is a unique RPG that blends the gritty tension of Prohibition with the swashbuckling spirit of the Age of Sail. Set in an alternate history where governments have outlawed alcohol across the high seas, players take on the role of a daring smuggler carving out a name in the shadows of naval authority. Amid lawless ports, isolated islands, and treacherous waters, every decision could mean fortune or ruin.
At the heart of the game lies deep base-building and crafting mechanics. You’ll establish and upgrade a hidden island distillery, recruit a crew of misfits, and build facilities to brew, bottle, and barrel your own unique blends of rum and spirits. As your operation grows, you'll have to balance production with security, secrecy, and trade, all while staying one step ahead of patrolling fleets and rival smugglers.
While rumrunning is the core gameplay loop, RumRunner offers alternate paths for players who prefer a more peaceful or lawful life. Become a humble merchant, trade legal goods between settlements, tend to crops, raise livestock, and grow your island into a thriving trade hub. Whether you choose to live off the land or build a black market empire, the open-ended progression allows for a playstyle that fits your vision.
RumRunner is a single-player experience at its core, but can also be enjoyed with up to four players in seamless online co-op. Team up with friends to divide responsibilities, manage your island together, run smuggling operations, or carve out your own corner of the sea. With rich storytelling, strategic depth, and dynamic gameplay, RumRunner invites you to thrive—by trade, by blade, or by barrel—in a world that’s as dangerous as it is full of opportunity.
Shipbuilding is a core pillar of progression in RumRunner. Through fully buildable and upgradable shipyards on your island base, you’ll construct and customize a fleet of vessels to suit your playstyle. From nimble sloops perfect for stealthy smuggling runs, to heavily armed brigs ready for open-sea skirmishes, each ship can be outfitted with modular components—hulls, sails, cannons, cargo holds, and more. As you expand your resources and expertise, your shipyard evolves into a vital tool for both survival and domination on the seas.
Beyond ships, players can craft an array of weapons, tools, and gear to support every aspect of life in RumRunner. Blacksmith forges, carpentry benches, distilleries, and tinker’s tables let you create muskets, cutlasses, farming equipment, traps, brewing contraptions, and trade goods. Crafting isn't just cosmetic—your gear affects how you explore, fight, trade, and interact with the world. Whether you're arming a crew for battle or outfitting a merchant schooner for speed and stealth, mastering the crafting system is essential to thriving in a world driven by risk and resourcefulness.
